Autobiography (2022) film is about a game of power and control, and the claustrophobic tension it creates. Themes and motifs emerge as the film follows the push-pull dynamic between the two main leads. An empty mansion. Bullying that is derisive, offhand, unsettling. Bursts of violence. A bid for escape vetoed by a puppet master. Chess.
