Five Artists: Sites Encountered

We were approached by the curatorial team to propose an identity that would encapsulate the messaging brought through the selected artworks for the exhibition. Themes such as the human interaction with land, natural and built environment, and the politics of negotiation were strong motifs to consider.
As an exhibition for contemporary art, we developed a design direction that was forward-looking, while utilising visuals and materials that were referenced in both the actual works and theme. A luminescent green was chosen to bring to mind ‘nature’, but in a manner the world mesh with the harsher materials of constructed elements. The print collateral developed from from this included printing in special silver and bronze metallic inks.
